The assembly product feature allows you to create products that require assembling multiple items or breaking them down into parts before selling. This helps reduce errors in stock deduction. Here’s how to set up bundle products easily:
How to Set Up Assembly Products
1. Go to the “Inventories” menu.
2. Select “Add Product.”
3. Create a product to be used as an assembly product. Fill in all the required information without entering an initial stock quantity.
4. Click “Save.”
5. Return to the products page, you will see the assembly product you created.
6. Click the three dots button.
7. Select “Edit.”
8. Go to the “Assembly” section.
9. Check “Assembly.”
10. Select the sub-products you want to combine into the assembly, along with the quantity of each sub-product.
11. Click “Save.”
(This step tells the system which stock items to deduct to create the new bundle product.)
12. Return to the product list, and you will see an assembly tag under the product name. Click the three dots button again.
13. Go to “Assembly.”
14. Enter the quantity of the assembly products you want to create.
15. Click “Assembly.”
16. When you return to the products page, you will see that the quantities of all sub-products have been deducted to create the assembly product according to the quantity set in step 14.
How to Disassemble Assembly Products
If you need to disassemble an assembly product, follow these steps:
1. Click the three dots button behind the bundled product again.
2. Go to “Disassembly.”
3. Enter the quantity of the bundled product you want to disassemble.
4. Click “Disassembly.”
5. When you return to the product list, you will see that the quantity of the assembly product has been disassembled, and the sub-products have been restocked according to the quantity set in step 3.
