How to Send Automated SMS to Customers

Enhance customer communication with ZORT’s Automated SMS Feature, allowing stores to instantly send messages to customers in the ZORT database.

How to Enable Automated SMS

  1. Go to the “Settings” menu and select “Organisation”.
  2. Choose “SMS”.

 

SMS Message Types

There are 4 types of automated SMS messages:

 

  • Order Confirmation

SMS will send when an order is successfully recorded to confirms the customer’s order, including the order name and total amount.

 

  • Payment Confirmation

SMS will send when a payment is recorded in the system to notifies the customer that their payment has been received and specifies the amount.

 

  • Shipping Confirmation

SMS will send when an order is shipped from the warehouse to informs the customer that their order has been shipped and includes the tracking number, eliminating the need for follow-ups.

 

  • Payment Reminder

SMS will send when an order is created but remains unpaid for X days (as set by the store) to reminds customers to complete their payment, which can help recover abandoned orders.

 

 

How to Change the Sender Name

  1. Click “Request to Change Sender Name”.

 

  1. Enter the desired sender name and complete the required information.
  2. Click “Request to Change Sender Name”. The verification process takes approximately 1–3 days.

Tip: You can set a minimum order value for sending SMS, choose the channels for sending SMS to customers, and specify the warehouse that will trigger SMS notifications. This way, you don’t have to worry about sending unnecessary messages.
