How to View Data on the Inventories Report

The inventory report shows the total value of the store’s inventory, including unsellable items, low-stock items, and nearly expired lots. This data can be exported to Excel for detailed review. The inventory report includes the following:

1. Inventory Summary: All Stock Value

Displays the total inventory value by calculating the cost of products against the remaining quantity in the system. You can export the data to Excel for detailed analysis by total inventory or by specific warehouse.

1.1 Calculating Inventory Value

The calculation is based on system settings, which can be checked as follows:

1. Go to “Settings”

2. Select “Organizations”

3. Select “Program Settings”

4. Select “Stock Value”

There are 2 methods of calculation:

Based on Average Cost: The price from purchase records or inventory adjustments averaged with the current quantity (not the average cost shown on the product page).
Based on Purchase Price: The purchase price is entered on the product page.

1.2 Exporting Total Inventory Value

For detailed inventory value or quantity by warehouse, you can export the data to Excel by specified dates.

2. Current Stock Value by Warehouse and Category

Displays the inventory value for each warehouse or product category.

3. Unsold Products

Lists items that have not been sold within the selected time, viewable up to one year in the past.

4. Low Stock and Out of Stock Items

Shows items that are low on stock or out of stock. You can view this data for all warehouses or selected warehouses.

5. Nearly Expired Lots

Displays items with lots that are nearly expired or already expired (if the store uses the lot/expiration date feature). You can select the warehouse to view this information.
