How to Connect and Set Up Shopify with ZORT

1. Log in to Shopify and go to the “Settings” menu.

 

2. Select “App and sales channels.”

 

3. Choose “Develop apps” and click “Allow custom app development.”


4. Click “Create an app.”

 

5. Enter a name for the app.

6. Click “Create app.”

 

7. Select “Overview.”

8. Choose “Configure Admin API scopes” and “Configure Storefront API scopes.”

 

9. Alternatively, you can configure settings in the “Configuration” tab as shown in the image.

10. Click “Configure.”

 

11. In the settings, set all options to Read/Write, or select the relevant scopes such as “Product,” “Orders,” “Transactions and fulfillments,” “Products,” “Variants and collections,” and “Inventory.”

 

12. Choose Webhook subscriptions to the latest version (this may change over time).

 

13. After setting, click “Save.”

 

14. Return to the “Storefront API integration” settings.

 

15. For “Storefront API integration,” set all options to “unauthenticated_write_checkouts” and “unauthenticated_read_checkouts.”

16. Click “Save.”

 

17. Once both settings are configured, click “Install app.”

 

18. Select “API credentials.”

19. Go to “Admin API access token” and click “Reveal token once” to generate the Key. Enter this Key in the API Password field on ZORT, and use the “API Key” in the API Key field on ZORT.

 


 

20. Verify the URL or Store Address by going to “Domains.”

How to Connect with ZORT

1. Log in to the ZORT system and go to the “Settings” menu, then select “Integration.”

2. Click “Add Integration.”

 

3. Select “Website.”

4. Choose “Shopify” as the type.

 

5. Enter the API Key and Password obtained in step 18 into the respective fields on ZORT.

6. Click “Verify” and then “Save.”

 

How to Set Up ZORT with Shopify

1. Go to the “Setting Details” section and click “Edit.”

2. When you click “Edit,” a settings window will appear.

Product Data Transfer from ZORT to Shopify can set up as follows;

  • Update Product Information: Sync product details like name, price, description, and weight to Shopify when these details change in ZORT.
  • Update Quantity: Sync stock quantities to Shopify when stock levels change in ZORT.
  • Choose whether to update the remaining stock or available stock.
  • Select Warehouse/Branch: Choose which warehouse’s stock to display on the platform.

 

Sales Order Status Settings

1. Import Sales Orders from Shopify: Choose to import all sales orders to synchronize stock between ZORT and Shopify, or import only paid orders and COD orders.

  • Tax Type: Select according to the sales from the platform or include VAT. If there is shipping cost including VAT, you can check the box to enable it.
  • Product Name: Choose to use the product name from the platform or the name in ZORT.

 

2. General Status Setting: When orders from Shopify are imported into ZORT, set the status as follows:

  • Pending Transfer: Sales orders will have a “Pending Transfer” status. The store must manually change the status in ZORT.
  • Immediate Transfer from Warehouse: Sales orders will have a “Completed” status in ZORT immediately, even if the store has not yet shipped the items.
  • Automatic: Sales orders will have their status updated based on Shopify, e.g., changing from “Pending Transfer” to “Pending Shipping” automatically when transport is triggered.

Cancelled Orders: For automatic status settings, when orders are cancelled (in any case), the system will return stock to the configured warehouse. Choose to cancel the order only or also create a return item record.

 

3. Payment Status Setting: The payment status of sales orders where customers paid through Shopify.

  • Pending Payment: Payment status will show as “Pending Payment,” requiring manual status change in ZORT.
  • Fully Paid: Payment status will show as fully paid immediately.
  • Automatic: Payment status will update according to Shopify, e.g., changing from “Pending Payment” to “Fully Paid” automatically.

Payment Method Settings

1. Import Payment Methods from Shopify: The system will import all payment methods from Shopify into ZORT.

2. Define Payment Methods: Set up payment method names from Shopify, ensuring one payment method per platform. The system will display payment method names as configured by the store.

 

4. Sales Data Transfer to Shopify

  • Update Order Status: To update the order status to “Completed” in Shopify, check the corresponding box.

5. Customer

  • Import Customer Data from Shopify: Customer data will match the sales orders and adhere to the platform’s policies.
  • Define Customer Data: Set up customer names for orders, e.g., if naming customers from Shopify as “Customer A,” the system will display this name for incoming orders.

3. Click “Save.”

 

4. Return to the connection and update various data as needed. Available update options include:

A. Import Product Data and Stock: Click the “Update” button to import product and stock data from Shopify to ZORT.

B. Import Historical Sales Data: If the store’s package expires without orders from Shopify, you can click “Update” to retrieve historical sales data after renewing the package.

 

Tip: Ensure product codes or SKUs in Shopify and ZORT match to avoid mismatches in product records.

 

Once configured, any changes in stock data in Shopify will be automatically synced to ZORT, allowing you to view sales reports and profits without missing any updates.
